Update on combertuna

Hi everyone! A lot has past since I went on BTN. I’ve been caught up with other things, so i haven’t had much time with combertuna. Anyways, I’ve been thinking about making a new word that means the opposite of combertuna. A string of good luck.

Well, thats all for now. I’ll make a new post once i’ve created the word.

Heres the link for the BTN episode: http://www.abc.net.au/btn/story/s4628719.htm

I’m going to give you a dose of combertuna!

That’s a shame you’ve had a combertuna day today!

Analysis:                                                                                                                                                                You use combertuna as if the meaning is just bad luck. combertuna is a noun and sometimes an adjective (Like the word “best”). Combertuna- A bad day

Do you ever have a bad day? That means that you’ve had a combertuna day. This short story explains a boy, and how he came to have combertunas all the time. I haven’t uploaded for a time, so i scraped this together. Hope you enjoy!

Jasper kicked the stone. It rolled away and fell down the nearby drain. He scowled. Everyone in his class always came in with good news, but all he ever bad to share was how boring his life was. Why him? He had never done anything wrong. He miserably went home, his sorrows trailing him. He slammed open the front door to his house and huffed up to his bedroom.

Jasper’s life, to say the truth, was rather dull and boring. He had no friends, yet no one was really sure why. He was trustworthy and loyal. It was just that he was unlucky. But This all changed very quickly……

Jasper woke up to the sound of a car engine. He glanced at the half broken clock. 5:00am. Damn. His dad, Joseph, must of left for work early. Jasper moaned and sank lower onto his pillow, And slept.

‘Hey, Jasper, what are you doing?’ Ned called out. Ned was not a typically friendly guy, especially seeming as his life goal is to make other peoples lives miserable.

‘Not much.’ He replied.                                                                                                                           ‘Were are you going then?’ Ned questioned.                                                                                     ‘The art room, to finish of my painting for the art show.’ Jasper answered. Ned smirked. Jasper could tell that wasn’t a good sign.   ‘Oh yeah, now i remember I need to go help out Mrs Joules.’ Ned said. And he ran off. By the time he reached the art room, his painting had been trampled on………….

To be continued!!!

Combertuna- What is it?

Combertuna. What is that? You may ask. Combertuna is a new word that alike many others, is hoping to catch the eye of the OED (Oxford English Dictionary). Combertuna takes on a meaning that will provide a short-cut for a phrase and henceforth be used often.

What are the details for Combertuna?                                                                                                         Word-Combertuna                                                                                                                                           Part of speech – adjective                                                                                                                            Pronunciation – Cum-ber-choona                                                                                                              Creator –    Sean Roe

According to the OED and Merriam-Webster the word must be used often and published in 5 reliable sources, such as a blog. I have ideas for how I can do that, Such as trying to send a letter to Andy Griffiths asking if he could use the word, atleast once in the book. Has anyone got anymore questions? Or does anyone  have any suggetions? If so, please say them in the comment section.

Please use this word often and have a nice day!
